Babycakes Cafe began as a small bakery cafe about one third the size of our current location. As the neighborhood grew, so did we! Our roots as a neighborhood bakery cafe have grown us into a full-service restaurant with breakfast, lunch, dinner & brunch served throughout the week. Sourcing local products whenever possible, we pride ourselves on having "something for everyone". With a smattering of gluten-free & vegan dishes among our list of cafe favorites, BC's kitchen is always cooking up something new, fresh, and delicious. And don't forget dessert - our bakers come in early each morning to whip up fresh batches of our house-made breads, cookies, croissants, and more. They also chock our pastry case of homemade delicacies full every morning and offer custom orders for special occasions.

And what's a great dinner without a great cocktail?
Our full bar serves up custom cocktails, delicious wines by the glass & bottle, and draft beers from as many local brewers as we can source. Drop in to BC Late Nite to enjoy one of our mid-week mixers or catch the best in live music every Friday & Saturday.

Mrs. Babycakes herself, owner Susan Wysocki, is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and still contributes to their academic programs as a teacher and curriculum developer. Having traveled the world (and tasted it too!), she has turned her education in food (as well as finance) and years of experience in the restaurant industry into a smash hit neighborhood landmark. Closely tied to her friends, family, and community, she lives in Poughkeepsie with her two boys and two cats.
